Terry brings alot of coaching and hockey knowledge to the team and we are looking forward to a great season. Aug 17, 2010, 1:18 pm The Fury started out on the ice this past Saturday with a few bodies missing due to enjoying summer vacations. They have one more practice that won't be full but then hit the ice as a full team on Monday August 23, 2010. There first tournament will send them to Vermont on Labour Day weekend. There league schedule begins the weekend of September 24 sending them to Napean and Ottawa. There home game time has changed slightly to 8:30pm start instead of 9pm. Come check out the new team!!!! Schedule will be posted shortly Jun 8, 2010, 5:21 pm Marty was chosen to coach Team Ontario South at the Recent 2010 National Aboriganal Championships. The team had some PWHL players including Jenesica Drinkwater from Stoneycreek, Jamie Lee Rattray from Ottawa and the Fury's own Laura Neu. They are currently sitting in 3rd and wins in there remaining games they will secure that spot for the 2009/2010 year. We would like you to bring one of the following items so we can donate to Haiti

If you can't come to this game come Feb 5 and 12 Preston Aud 8pm start times Dec 21, 2009, 3:17 pm First we would like to wish our family, friends, sponsors and our hockey apponents A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. Now to the Good stuff The Fury opened at home in another 3 game weekend. They came out a little slow which seems to be a Friday night Ritual lately. They found themselves down 2-0 early in the first period to KW Rangers. As the Fury are known to do they never quit. The Final result being a 5-3 win. Saturday they travelled by bus to Strathroy to play another strong team in Bluewater. Fury opened with the first goal and Strathroy tied it up 4 minutes later. The score remained even through the second. The Fury came out strong in the 3rd and went ahead early, but Bluewater tied it up 3 minutes later. 1-1/2 minutes later the Fury went ahead and never looked back with a 5-2 win. This Fury team played like a team and never let up-they played some great hockey. They enjoyed a Christmas celebration on the bus ride home. Dec 17, 2009, 7:20 pm Come out and cheer on the Fury Friday night against there neighbours the KW Rangers. This is there last home game until Jan 2, 2010 Nov 30, 2009, 6:16 pm The Cambridge Fury hosted the Conneticut Polar Bears this past weekend in an exhibition game and had 2 league games. They beat Conneticut 7-4 with shots 46-25. Scoring came from all around with Laura Brooker opening less then 3 minutes in, Katie Mora, Katie MacSorley(2), Kaylee Kearns, Molly Contini, and Carly Rolph rounded out the scoring. Assists went to MacSorley, Laura Neu (2), Kristen Nixon(2), Contini, Brooker(2), Mora, Erin Zach, Brittany Crawford and Karla Sharer. Goalies Courtney Eastway and Tara Wister shared the goaltending duties looking sharp. Saturdays tilt had them facing the 1st place Mississauga team. They held on for two periods going into the third behind 3-2 but couldn't hold on and lost 6-2. Contini and MacSorley had the only goals with Kelsey MacSorley, Crawford, Nixon and Rebecca Traversa picked up the assists. Tara Wister played well in net. Sunday they traveled East again to face an improving Brampton team. The Fury went into the 3rd with a 2-1 lead with goals from Neu, Nixon. Alisha Sealey fired a fast hard shot from the point early in the 3rd and Traversa had 2 empty netters with the final being 5-1. Sealy, Contini, Traversa and AP Jamie Martin picked up assists. Courtney Eastway earned the win between the pipes The Fury have another 3 game weekend upcoming with 2 home games. Friday Preston Aud 9pm vs Whitby, Saturday Hespeler 3:30pm vs Etobicoke and then an early afternoon game Sunday in Hamilton. The Fury currently sit 5th among 18 teams. Come and support these girls and watch some good quality hockey. |
